The M&A Community, in partnership with iDeals, is hosting a cocktail party in Madrid on 31 March to give our renewables professionals the chance to get together in a relaxed setting and chat about the opportunities in Iberia.
Spain set itself a target of at least 74% energy to be derived from renewables by 2030, rising to 100% by 2050. To achieve this it is planning to increase its generation in both wind and PV by at least 3GW each year. By 2020 it was generating almost 47% of its energy from renewables and the RECAI (EY) index, which ranks countries on the attractiveness of their renewable energy investment and deployment opportunities, puts Spain 10th in the world. In addition to electricity generation, Spain is also keen to develop its green hydrogen production.
The M&A Community was founded to bring like-minded professionals together to forge links that will help them build successful businesses. Now that we can go back to meeting face-to-face, we wanted to arrange a social event with an exciting theme – and the prospects for renewables investment just got a whole lot more electrifying!
