We’re back from the summer break, though Europe’s dealmakers clearly didn’t take one.
The number to watch belongs to Germany: Capcora has been mandated to sell SOWITEC’s renewable energy portfolio, which includes 32 GW spanning wind and solar. Around 330 MW relate to projects in Germany, with the rest residing in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico.
Germany also produced the month’s densest cluster of activity on its own, from Alpiq’s acquisition of one of the country’s largest operational battery storage systems from ECO STOR, to Shell’s exit from residential battery player sonnen, six years after buying it.
And in other news this week:
- Cadeler acquired offshore foundation installation specialist Menck in a deal valued at an enterprise value of EURm 501.
- VINCI Energies opened the acceptance period for a EUR 67.50-per-share cash offer to All for One shareholders.
- Orlen bought a 216 MW hybrid renewables project in Poland, stepping up its domestic clean energy build-out.
I hope you enjoy this bumper wrap-up of M&A deals. And make sure to connect on LinkedIn to stay on top of Europe’s latest moves.
