Alexandre Pierantoni is a Managing director in the M&A Advisory practice of Duff & Phelps and is based in the Sao Paulo, Brazil office. Alexandre has more than 20 years of corporate finance experience, with expertise in consumer, industrial, healthcare, and educational sectors. His recently completed transactions include: advising Piemonte Holding in the acquisition of Oi Data Centers in Brazil, Grupo JD’s disposal of its agribusiness operations to Grupo El Ciruelo and Fazendas Jacarezinho/ Grupo Marfrig, and the restructuring of Multicoisas Franquias.
Alexandre has a strong M&A background in both origination and execution of the buy and sell sides, as well as economic valuations, viability studies and strategic analysis for corporate development. His international experience is grounded by having lived and worked in Latin America, the U.S. and Europe.
Responsible for the origination, execution and coordination of several acquisition and sales transactions in Brazil and Latin America, Alexandre has represented large national and multinational companies and financial investors in buy and sell side mandates such as Apax Partners, Carlyle, Vinci Partners, Bacardi-Martini, Damovo Group, Diebold, Ericsson, Mars, NEC, Rakuten and Unilever.
Prior to Duff & Phelps, Alexandre was a partner with the boutique M&A firm Pactor Finanças Corporativas and was previously a partner in the M&A practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Alexandre holds a degree in business administration from Germany and a degree in economics in Brazil, where he also holds an MBA with a specialization in finance from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV-EAESP). He has also participated in executive programs at Northwestern University/Kellogg School of Management, New York Institute of Finance, MIT and Fundação Getúlio Vargas.
