Joel Benjamin is the Managing Partner of the Central Asia practice of Kinstellar and manages its offices in Almaty, Astana and Tashkent. Joel has over 40 years’ experience advising international and local clients in various industries, including energy and natural resources, banking, telecommunications and media in Kazakhstan.
Joel has broad experience in corporate and commercial transactions with a particular specialism in banking and finance, where he has developed top rankings within Central Asia. He has played a leading role in numerous transactions including bilateral and syndicated loans, trade finances, project finance, and equity/debt capital markets matters. Joel has built a strong corporate practice including work on numerous high-profile M&A transactions across various sectors.
Joel holds an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and a Juris Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
