Ruilin Zhao, Ph.D

Ruilin Zhao is a Partner at CD Capital. He has more than 20 years of experience in med-tech and life science companies. Previously, Dr. Zhao was the Vice President and General Manager of Commercial Operations for Greater China at Illumina. He has also held several leadership positions at Thermo Fisher, including China head of Corporate Marketing and Commercial Operations. Before that, he was the Vice President of Business Development at MicroPort Medical, and held various positions at Johnson & Johnson Medical and Medtronic. Dr. Zhao received his Ph.D. Degree in Medical Engineering and Medical Physics from the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology, an MBA Degree from the Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania, a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering from Xi’an Jiaotong University in Xi’an, China.
