João developed his career in international and investment banking in Millennium BCP, the biggest private owned bank in Portugal, and is specialized in Corporate Finance in International Markets by INSEAD (France).
He was deputy-manager of the Macao/China off-shore branch. Later he was responsible for the bank national and international credit risk (Europe/US and Asia), head of structure finance and credit sale around the world. João was also appointed has one of the bank board advisors regarding liquidity issues. He was at Pestana Hotel Group between 2012 and 2029 as Board Member in-charge for Corporate Finance.
He was also the member of Pestana Executive Committee and responsible for the general funding of the Group.For the last 2 years, João has been the Vice President for Finance & CFO of CostaTerra´s Project (Discovery Land Company).
